Кацман, Роман

Роман Кацман (1969) — израильский литературовед, специалист по современной ивритской и русской литературе, профессор Кафедры еврейской литературы Бар-Иланского университета.

Биография

Роман Кацман родился в Житомире (Украина) 26 ноября 1969 года. В 1986—1990 годах учился в Московском автомобилестроительном институте (в те годы — ВТУЗ при ЗИЛе) и служил в Советской Армии. С ноября 1990 года проживает в Израиле. В 1999 году защитил докторскую диссертацию (с отличием) в Бар-Иланском университете по теме «Мифопоэзис: теория, метод и его применение к избранным произведениям Ф. М. Достоевского и Ш. Й. Агнона». С 2000 года Кацман преподает на Кафедре еврейской литературы. С 2012 года — профессор, с 2014 — заведующий кафедрой. Женат, отец двоих детей.

Исследования

Основными сферами научных интересов Кацмана являются еврейская (ивритская) литература ХХ-ХХI веков, литературная теория и поэтика, литературная антропология, мифология и мифотворчество, поэтика жеста, проблема искренности в литературе, альтернативная история, еврейско-русская и русско-израильская литература.
